HISTORY & INFO
The UFO was very similar to Centennial Screamer. The major difference was instead of sitting in cars that swung out, riders stood up facing everyone inside the circle.
The UFO came to Lagoon in 1982 and was installed in the space just east of Jet Star 2. Tri-Star had been located there since 1979, but was moved west for a few years to where the Space Scrambler is now. The UFO was only at Lagoon for one or two seasons and The Whirlwind replaced it in 1984.
Huss Maschinenfabrik is a German company that began in 1919 producing ship equipment. They ventured into making amusement rides in 1969 and it is now their only business. Other Huss rides that have operated at Lagoon include Centennial Screamer, Cyclone, Tidal Wave, Tri-Star and The Whirlwind.
