On this ride, kids board miniature biplanes and travel in a circlular pattern, controlling how high or low they fly.

      As far as I know, the Red Barons have been located in the same place since it opened in 1984. During the days of Mother Goose Land, a large pumpkin-shaped snack stand stood near here. In later years, it was moved to the Hi-Land Playland and used as a storage closet. This may have also been the location of the European Carousel.

      Zamperla is based in Italy and specializes in smaller, portable rides often found at fairs and traveling carnivals. However, they have recently begun to build larger and more permanent rides. Other Zamperla rides that have operated at Lagoon include Moonraker, Scalawags and the Flying Elephants.
