history & info
This is a freefall tower, much like The Rocket on a smaller scale. This ride can also rotate around the center as it goes up and down. Parents can ride this with their children.
Ladybug Bop opened along with Dinosaur Drop in 2006. To make room for these rides, Sky Fighter was moved to a spot near Baby Boats where Bulgy The Whale was recently moved to. Bulgy was then moved to a new location using part of the space used for Putter Around The Park. A large mushroom was added as an entrance later in the ride's first year. It's similar to another large mushroom which was a feature in the old Mother Gooseland.
Zierer is a German company which has served the amusement industry for decades. They have built rides for Disneyland, Universal Studios, Six Flags and many parks around the world. Other Zierer rides at Lagoon include Dinosaur Drop, Kontiki, OdySea, Puff The Little Fire Dragon, Turn Of The Century and Wicked.

Ladybug Bop & Dinosaur Drop took the place of Sky Fighter.

The entrance to Ladybug Bop (left) resembles an old fixture of Kiddie Land in the 1970s. In the photo on the right, you can see a completely different mushroom on the top right. It would have been about where the tables and gardens near Carousel Plaza are today. The Carousel and the big shoe on the top left are still there today.
