GUN COLLECTION

Also known as the Armory, here you'll find several antique weapons such as guns, cannons and swords. There are also many old flags, a combination gun-coffee grinder and a safe once owned by Porter Rockwell.

 

 

"The Pioneer Village Gun Exhibit Building is modeled after the original 1860 Fort Douglas Ordinance Building. Pioneer Village guns range from weapons used in medieval Europe to modern day firearms. Many of these weapons were used by gunfighters of the Old West. There are several arms that were used in the Revolutionary and Civil Wars; dueling pistols; as well as some of the first guns invented by John Browning. This collection is a fine exhibit of arms ranking well with others in America."
