Hundred of people were evacuated at the Lagoon amusement park Thursday, after someone reportedly made a threatening comment to an employee.

The incident happend at around 6:00 p.m. at the Lagoon-A-Beach water park, located in Farmington. An employee says a patron claimed that there was an explosive device somewhere in the park, inside of a backpack.

Moments later, police officers with bomb-sniffing dogs searched the area to make sure the park was safe. No explosives were found, but officials say they must take every threat seriously.

The water park was closed for the day, but was expected to open normally on Friday.
